  • Are the expeditions safe?

Our destinations are rarely dangerous, and our trusted, vetted experts and guides have many years of experience with tourists from all over the world. That said, it is important to have common sense and remain aware of your surroundings, particularly for pickpocketing and petty theft.

  • Do I need any shots or vaccinations before traveling?

We will inform you of any necessary or recommended medications or vaccinations to take before traveling to certain regions. If vaccinations are necessary, we recommend Passport Health.

  • What if I get sick on an expedition?

For minor medical issues, we will use our local knowledge and contacts to direct you to a pharmacy or local physician to get you the help you need. For more serious matters, we will make recommendations for healthcare facilities and medical professionals, and leave you in their care. We are not responsible for additional expenses incurred by sickness or injury; for this reason, it is strongly recommended you have travel insurance.

  • What is your COVID policy?

Though most countries no longer have COVID requirements, we do recommend being up-to-date on your vaccinations. If you contract COVID less than 2 weeks before an expedition, please immediately let us know at info@argoadventuretours.com.

  • How do I get to and from the airport?

If the expedition requires a driver, they will greet you upon arrival with a sign bearing Argo Adventures. Alternatively, if there is no driver on the expedition, you may take a taxi or rideshare to the hotel. Upon the conclusion of the expedition, our driver will be able to take you back to the airport, or you may take a taxi or rideshare at your preference. Our lodging will also likely be able to call a cab for you.

  • What should I pack?

The answer varies greatly depending on the region, season, and weather of the expedition you wish to join. However, it is best practice to pack light, and bring a spare bag for any purchases you wish to bring home with you.

  • Do I need a travel Visa?

This answer will vary from expedition to expedition, depending on what countries we visit. While we will always inform you which countries require tourist Visas, VFS Global is a good resource to understand the Visa requirements.

  • How can I get to my destination on time?

We will send our complete itinerary to you upon confirmation of your spot on an expedition so that you can schedule your flights. We recommend Expedia or Google to find a flight that works best for you.

  • Can I arrive early or stay late?

You are welcome to extend your vacation as long as you please both before and after an expedition. However, you will be responsible for your own accommodations beyond the expedition.

  • Is the water safe to drink?

While the answer varies from expedition to expedition, it is generally best to play it safe in underdeveloped regions. Most restaurants and hotels we stay at will offer us bottled water to drink, and we will be sure to have bottled water when necessary.
