Terms And Conditions

Please note that in this document, “expedition” always refers to a “travel package”.

These are the Terms and Conditions on which Argo Adventures provides the Expedition to you, the Traveler. This document (“Terms and Conditions”) contains the terms in which we will plan and arrange your Argo Adventures Expedition. By booking an Expedition, you are deemed to have agreed to these booking conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and Argo Adventures) and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis. We will rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on behalf of any other Travelers on the booking and that person will bind all such Travelers to these Terms and Conditions. Some products and services included in the Argo Adventures Expedition may have their own specific governing terms and conditions, these shall apply in addition to the Terms and Conditions listed below. 

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully.

Reservations:

The booking process will begin with the Traveler’s request through the website or via email. If there is still availability on the Expedition, Argo Adventures will request the Traveler to make a 20% deposit to formalize the reservation. The expedition contract is finalized with the receipt of the completed and signed registration and the registration deposit.

Final Payment:

Payment will be made through Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or direct bank deposit. Final payments are due 45 days before Expedition departure. Argo Adventures reserves the right to cancel a Traveler from an Expedition if final payment is not received by the specified due date.

Prices:

Argo Adventures reserves the right to impose surcharges up to 60 days before departure due to unfavorable changes in exchange rates, increases in airfares or other transportation costs, increases in local operator costs, taxes, or if government action should require us to do so.

Inclusions:

The price of each Expedition is listed on the Expedition Page and includes:

a) The cost of all services included in the Program (e.g., passenger transportation, accommodations) with the conditions established in that documentation.

b) The taxes or fees for the included services.

c) All other services and supplements that are specifically mentioned in the contracted Program or that are expressly stated in the expedition contract.

Exclusions:

The price of each Expedition, unless expressly stated otherwise, will not include, but is not limited to, the following services:

a) Visa or passport fees

b) Air fare to and from starting and/or ending destination

c) Airport taxes, entry/exit fees, or excess baggage fees

d) Vaccination certificates, immunizations, medical, hospitalization, or evacuation costs

e) Travel insurance

f) Meals and beverages not specified in the Expedition itinerary

g) Extraordinary personal services and/or products ( e.g. snacks, alcohol, laundry, spa services, etc.)

h) Personal purchases

Withdrawal and Cancellation:

The Traveler may cancel the expedition contract at any time prior to the start of the Expedition. If the Traveler wishes to cancel after the deposit has been paid, you may receive a refund under the following conditions:
45 days before Expedition- full refund minus 20% nonrefundable deposit
30 days before Expedition- 50% refund minus 20% nonrefundable deposit
15 days before Expedition- no refund

In any case of cancellation, the Traveler’s nonrefundable deposit may be used as credit for a future Expedition.

Travel insurance and trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended.

In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, including but not limited to acts of God, war, civil commotion, riot, blockade or embargo, fire, explosion, breakdown, union dispute, earthquake, epidemic, pandemic or other health emergency, flood, windstorm or other extreme weather event, lack or failure of courses of supply, passage of any law, order, proclamation, regulation, ordinance, demand, requisition or requirement or any other act of any government authority, beyond the reasonable control of the parties, whether or not foreseeable, which would make it dangerous or not viable for a trip to commence or continue, Argo Adventures will, at our discretion, make reasonable effort to refund or reschedule the Traveler. The Traveler assumes the risk of potential cancellations or delays in dates and expressly waives any claims for compensation from Argo Adventures.

Responsibility:

Argo Adventures, its owners, outfitters, agents, and employees, give notice that they act only as the agent for the owners, contractors, and suppliers providing travel services and accommodations, and assume no responsibility or liability for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly or indirectly from any defect in any vehicle, or through neglect or default of any company or person engaged in carrying out the Expedition or other purpose. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort or wellbeing of the passengers, for any reason whatsoever, to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the tour operators. Argo Adventures shall not be responsible for any force majeure before or while in-transit, during, or after an Expedition or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside of Argo Adventures’s control. Baggage is at owner’s risk at all times. By registering for the Expedition, the Traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Argo Adventures is not responsible for failure of the Traveler to obtain necessary travel and health documentation, inoculations, and/or travel insurance. Argo Adventures reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain as a member of any tour, any person, at any time.
